Passengers who booked to fly Arik Air to
Johannesburg on Sunday night are still waiting to leave Murtala Mohammed
International Airport in Lagos.
The
flight was later rescheduled to
depart at 12noon on Monday November 25th, but that too never came
through. Passengers flared up demanding for a refund or cancellation of
the flight.
Although a member of staff of the Federal Aviation
Authority of Nigeria, Mr. B.C. Iwuchukwu, had promised that the flight would depart
in hours’ time, there were rumors that the aircraft meant to carry the
passengers was not in good condition and that engineers were battling to repair it.
